our stay was so comfortable, our host was the coolest, food here is soo good, it's super luxurious and budget friendly at the same time, also they have the cutest litte puppy, whom I was very tempted to pupnap.If you can go for the attic suit it is so cool, it has amazing views. If you are in or near shimla just go here, thank me later

We stayed at this gorgeous property end of May. We stayed 2 nights with our fur baby and human child and we had the best time ever! The property has enough green space, is beautifully decorated- the architecture and interiors are just wow! The serivce was splendid. What i really, truly loved was that they were so very openly warm and welcoming of pets. Unlike other places that claim to be pet friendly, here, every staff, including manager Ashwin, were super friendly and understanding. All spaces were open to access for pets, with the only caveat that be mindful of other guests (which is very reasonable). We could roam the inside and outside freely and worry free and therefore had a great experience. The food was homely and superb. They also had a wide variety on offer, which for foodies like us was just perfect. We stayed in the Family Room, which was sooooo comfortable and warm (Kufri was cold around the days we were there). Clean and very well maintained, each room is equipped with all modern facilities, including wall mounted room heater. What i was also impressed with were the big and clean bathrooms. Oh, and did I mention high speed wifi?! That was there as well. All in all it was one of those places that just made us feel so welcome, happy and comfortable. Truly want to thank Ashwin for making our experience so happy and warm. Definitely hope to return someday soon.

It is located at very beautiful location and you can spend your whole day here and still enjoy beauty of Kufri from your rooms. The Ashwin who manages this hotel was very friendly & supportive and became a friend with me even joined me to me explore nearby places. They have kichen too which serves some delicious breakfast and meals. I would highly recommended this place for solo, friends and family as they have rooms for every type

Loved the food, the service, my chats with Ashwin and uncle. Very helpful people. Best part was the view. I didn't stay there but spent significant part of my day in the balcony, enjoying the movement of the sun on the valley and indulging in their amazing food. Their kheru and madra were mind blowing.

Nice , cosy , clean rooms with amazing interior amongst the nature. View is breathtaking from the balcony.. I would really recommend this place for a peaceful vacation. Staff is very cooperative and friendly. Special mention to the manager of the property Mr Ashwin Anand who was so friendly, cooperative and helpful. He was always there for any kind of help we need from cab or tourist places or anything else. He suggested us many places to visit which was not a typical tourist spot but was just amazing. He knows the area so well and will suggest places according to your taste. Looking forward to come back here again . Going back with a lot of memories

Sugar Cube Retreat, previously known as Firdaus stay is one of my favourite stays till date. I have opted for a 8pax dorm stay, and I must say, not just their luxurious rooms but ever the dorms give you a comfortable cosy feel that you'd never forget. The ambience and view of the valley from the balcony is something that you'd never want to leave. The stay was special and memorable just because of the sweetest and caring staff there. And I'm so glad to have met Ashwin at this place. Ashwin had made this stay a go to place for me, I'd always look forward to visit this stay whenever I plan a getaway in and around Himachal just because of The vibe that Ashwin had created at this stay. To everyone, whenever you plan to visit Sugar cube retreat, do not forget to ask for Ashwin as you wouldn't want to miss hanging out with him when in Fagu, also do look out for Moongfali 🥜 :)

I would strongly recommend this place for vacation. Already missing the breathtaking view from the balcony. The place was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay delightful. They staffs were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything needed. And special mention to the manager Ashwin Anand who gave great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable gateway. I would definitely stay here again in the future.
